Why Russian Music School ?
Starting from the 19th century, the Russian Music school has cultivated countless outstanding pianists, violinists, cellists, conductors, and composers. The influence is still continuing until now. The Russian Music School is known as the “Musician Kingdom” of the 20th century!In 1862, the famous Russian pianist, conductor and composer Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894) has established the first professional music academy in Russia, the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music (Russian: Санкт-Петербургская государственная консерватория имени Н. А. Римского-Корсакова).Thus, the musicians cultivated by the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music have spread over the world. They occupy different international competitions and influence the performance traditions.
為什麼選擇俄羅斯鋼琴學派 ?
從十九世紀末到二十世紀的近百年歲月中，俄國學派培育出無數的優秀鋼琴家、小提琴家、大提琴家、指揮家、作曲家；一直到二十一世紀的今天，仍持續著它的影響力。堪稱二十世紀的「音樂家王國」！
1862年，經由俄羅斯著名鋼琴家、指揮家、作曲家安東魯賓斯坦(Anton Rubinstein, 1829-1894）於1862年親力親為推動並建成俄羅斯第一所培養音樂家的專業音樂學院—聖彼得堡音樂學院(俄語：Санкт-Петербургская государственная консерватория имени Н. А. Римского-Корсакова至此，由聖彼得堡音樂學院培養出的音樂家如枝葉在全世界散開；俄羅斯音樂學派培養出的音樂家佔據國際比賽的大小舞台，並影響著其他演奏傳統。

Anna Yesipova (1851-1912)S. Prokofiev (1891-1953), S. Barere (1896-1951) and L. Ornstein (1893-2002), famous composers and pianists, have immigrated to the United States. In 1924, they assisted the establishment of the well-known Vurtis Institute. It trained great musicians and educators, including:Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), a conductor, pianist and educator. He served as the Dean of Curtis and cultivated 3 Chinese pianists: Lang Lang, Zhang Haochen and Wang Yujia.

指揮家、作曲家、鋼琴家、教育家伯恩斯坦（Leonard Bernstein，1918-1990），曾擔任柯蒂斯院長，培養出著名三位中國鋼琴家：郎朗、張昊辰、王羽佳。
Violin School
The first violin professor

Auer has dedicated nearly half a century here. In his stay in St. Petersburg, not only did he improve the Russian music standards at the time, but also educated countless outstanding violinists. For instance, J. Heifetz (1901-1987), N. Milstein (1904-1992) and M. Elman (1891-1967).
Talking about the most important person, L. Zeitlin (1881-1952), who taught at the Moscow Conservatory of Music, and S. Korguyev, who inherited in St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music.
In 1920, Zeitlin became a professor of the Moscow Conservatory of Music (established in 1866). He dedicated 32 years here. His outstanding students included the most famous B. Goldstein (1922-1987), A. Gorokhov (1927-1999) and S. Furer (1909-1979). A. Yampolsky (1890-1956) and Y. I. Eydling are the most famous students of Korguyev who taught at the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music. These two disciples are educators who have a profound influence on Russian schools. They have educated lots of Russian masters in Moscow and St. Petersburg respectively. For Yampolsky, Kogan must be his signature student. He also taught the short-lived Julia Sitkovertsky (1925-1958), Igor Bezrodny (1930-1997) who contributed the rest of his life in Finland and Y. Yankelevich (1909-1973) who inherited Yampolsky’s education. Other than that, Zeitlin taught M. Vaiman (1909-1977) and Boris Gutnikov (1931-?). These two masters kept fine tradition for St. Petersburg.
The Jury of The St. Petersburg International Piano Competition is formed by excellent pianists and educators trained by the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music, also by piano professors and pianists of the Russian School of Music; the St. Petersburg International Music Competition was held to make contribution to continue The Russian Music’s tradition which has influence the world and to excavate outstanding music talents.

奧爾其在此地奉獻了近半個世紀的歲月，在聖彼得堡期間不但大幅提昇了當時俄國的音樂水準，更教育出無數的優秀小提琴家，眾所皆知的海飛茲（J. Heifetz，1901-1987）、密爾斯坦（N. Milstein，1904-1992）、艾爾曼（M. Elman，1891-1967）等大師皆出自奧爾門下
其中最重要有兩位，一位是任教於莫斯科音樂學院的采特林（L. Zeitlin，1881-1952），及留校繼承的柯爾吉耶夫（S. Korguyev）
采特林後成為1866年成立的莫斯科柴可夫斯基音樂學院擔任音樂學院教授（1920年），他一共在此奉獻了32年歲月，學生中以戈爾德史坦（B. Goldstein，1922-1987）、葛羅可夫（A. Gorokhov，1927-1999）及弗爾勒（S. Furer，1909-1979）最為著名；而在聖彼得堡音樂院執教的柯爾吉耶則教出揚波爾斯基（A. Yampolsky，1890-1956）及艾德林（Y. I. Eydling）兩位著名的學生。這兩大弟子是影響俄國學派非常深遠的教育家，他們分別在莫斯科及聖彼得堡先後教育出許多知名的俄國大師。揚波爾斯基的學生以柯岡最為著名，另外短命的西特戈維斯基（Julia Sitkovertsky，1925-1958）、將餘生貢獻在芬蘭的貝茲羅德尼（Igor Bezrodny，1930-1997）及繼承恩師教育工作的揚凱列維奇（Y. Yankelevich，1909-1973）等，都是揚波爾斯基所調教出的高徒，而艾德林則教出瓦依曼（M. Vaiman，1926-1977）及谷特尼可夫（Boris Gutnikov，1931-？）兩位替聖彼得堡音樂學院保留優良傳統的大師。
聖彼得堡國際鋼琴比賽評審，由聖彼得堡音樂學院、莫斯科柴可夫斯基音樂學院鋼琴教授、鋼琴家及最後加一句：
