Terms of St. Petersburg International Music Competition

About Competition

General Rules:

1. The competition is held once a year.  

2. The St. Petersburg International Music Competition (hereinafter referred to as the “competition”) is divided into the Piano competition and Violin competition, Chamber competition, and Vocal competition.

3. The Competition is open to musicians and students from all countries in the world. No restriction on nationality.

Competition Regulations:

1. The competition consists of the preliminary and finals. 

2. Preliminary: Assessment will be conducted to all contestants who have submitted all required documents and materials. All contestants must submit the video recordings and application documents correctly.

3. Contestants are not limited by nationality. But they must present the original identification documents issued by the government to confirm their age during the competition, such as ID cards or passports. If the age shown on the identity document does not match the registration category, the contestant will be disqualified immediately.

4. Contestants who are participating in the live event must bring a set of original scores of the repertoire for the judges’ reference during the competition. The scores will be returned immediately after the performance. 

5. All judges cannot participate in the evaluation of their students. 

6. During the live event, the judges have the right to terminate the contestants’ performances at an appropriate time. No one can object to the decisions made by the judges and the final results of the competition. 

7. The organizer reserves the right to refuse or terminate the participation of those who do not meet the qualifications or violate the rules. 

8. Each group of live competition has a number limit of contestants. First come first served will be applied. If the quota is full before the deadline, the organizer has the right to terminate the acceptance of registration, without extra notice.

9. If contestants fail to attend the competition due to their personal reasons, the make-up competition will not be rearranged, and no refund arrangements will be made. The registration fee cannot be transferred to another person or used for another competition. 

10. The list of entering to second round semi-finals will be announced on the Facebook page (St. Petersburg International Music Competition) within 7 working days after registration deadline. 

11. Contestants must perform their repertory by memory if no special permission is approved in advance. (Except Piano Duo and Four Hands Piano group) 

12. The competition will be conducted according to the schedule announced on the official website of the conference. (www.stpetersburgcomp.org)

13. Contestants are not allowed to contact any members of the juries during the competition. Contestants who violate the regulations will be disqualified from the competition. 

14. Due to the epidemic, it will be decided whether to allow audiences to enter the stadium to watch the live game or not, depending on the competition venues in each sub-region.

15. All participants should wear modest clothing to participate in the competition.

16. During the competition, no one is allowed to take photographs, sound recordings, or video recordings except for the concession’s permission. The copyright of all recordings belongs to the organizer of this competition.

17. The winner must voluntarily participate in performances, concerts and other activities related to this competition.

18. The organizer reserves the right to modify the rules of the competition, the content of the prizes and the members of the judging committee, subject to modification without notice.

19. The rules of the competition are subject to the official website and Fb page: St. Petersburg International Piano Competition.

20. The final interpretation right belongs to the organizer of the event 

FINANCIAL REGULATIONS

1. Contestants who are shortlisted for the live finals in St. Petersburg will not be allocated hotel accommodation from the date indicated in the official invitation letter to the end of the competition. If they need to extend their itinerary, they must plan by themselves.

2. Contestants who receive an invitation to participate in the Competition and who live in countries with a visa regime with the Russian Federation should contact their nearest Russian Consulate to obtain a Russian visa. The Directorate will provide all necessary invitations; however, the Directorate will not be responsible for obtaining visas and related costs.

5. Contestants who participate in the Competition but refuse to perform for any reason must bear all costs for their accommodation and travel.

6. For under age participants, the Directorate will NOT additionally pay for travel and accommodation of their accompanying person.

PRIZES AND AWARDS

1. The St. Petersburg International Music Competition Committee will select a special prize from all the first prize winners.

2. Based on the results achieved and within the established number of awards the jury reserve the right: a) not to award all prizes; b) to divide prizes between contestants (except for Grand Prix and First prize).

3. For those who have not won the finals, the jury will decide to issue a certificate of participation.

4. Decisions of the jury are final and not revocable.

5. In the case that a First prize in any of the categories is not awarded, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to award the First prize from among the finalists.

6. In coordination with the Organizing Committee it is possible to establish special and additional prizes and awards by any state, commercial, public, or creative organizations, both Russian and foreign. Terms for such prizes and awards must be agreed with the Organizing Committee.

SPECIAL REGULATIONS

1. Finalists will be required to perform without compensation in the closing ceremonies and winners’ concerts.

2. All rounds of the Competition may be broadcasted live and recorded for future video and audio broadcasts and publications. The Competition will be partially or fully available for viewing via the Internet.

3. All rights to broadcast audio and video recordings of Competition rounds, and the final concerts featuring winners, at no performance fee to contestants, belong to the Directorate of the Competition, as well as for the sale and distribution of these materials.

4. Contestants must sign a document confirming no claims on their part on the use by the Directorate and its authorized representatives of the above-mentioned audio and video materials. The Directorate and its authorized representatives do not have any financial obligations to the contestants for the use of materials obtained.

5. The Directorate does not provide contestants with any kind of insurance.

6. For the St. Petersburg final itinerary, the board of directors will provide travel insurance and accident insurance for the finalists and their escorts.

7. The application signed by the candidate for participation in the Competition serves as evidence that the potential participant of the Competition fully accepts and undertakes to fulfill the present Conditions noted in this document.

8. All information posted on the official website of the Competition is correct at the time of publication. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes, if circumstances so require. In case of any disagreements in the interpretation of the Russian and English versions, the Russian version will prevail.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Contestants must pay attention to the acceptance and deadline of each round of registration. The application to the Competition must be submitted through personal account on the Competition website and include the following documents and materials:

* Application form (duly completed and signed);

* Copy of the candidate’s identification document (birth certificate or passport);

* Detailed competition repertory (indicating the key of compositions, related parts, and duration of the recording preliminary and Competition program). Changes to the repertory will not be accepted;

* The recorded video of the competition must be completed three months before the deadline for registration of each round and must be implemented in strict accordance with the video entry requirements and must be in accordance with the requirements of each round of the competition, without editing or editing in the middle. The video must be submitted electronically. (Participants are solely responsible) The video has a fixed camera playing a piece of music is continuously shooting, and the whole body of the participant is shown from the perspective of the audience (in full growth);

* Bank transfer receipt (account number and SWIFT/BIC codes)

Upon changing the application, the applicant must pay a non-refundable registration fee of HKD200 or its equivalent in USD at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia as of the payment date. The application fee does not include the bank transfer fee.

The bank transfer fee should be paid by the applicant in addition to the application fee. The copy of the bank transfer of the application fee should be enclosed with the application documents. The application will not be considered without the application fee. The application fee is considered paid after the receipt in the account of the Directorate.

The application form must be completed either in English. Incomplete applications or applications without required accompanying materials will not be accepted. Applicants should keep copies of all materials sent. Submitted materials cannot be returned. The Competition Directorate will confirm receipt of complete applications.

關於賽事

 

通用規則 :

1.每年舉辦一屆。

2. 聖彼得堡國際音樂比賽(以下簡稱為”比賽”)分為鋼琴賽事、小提琴賽事、室內樂及聲樂賽事。

3.比賽開放給世界各國的音樂家及學生,不限國籍。

比賽規則 :

1. 本次比賽由初賽及全球總決賽組成。


2. 初賽:會對所有提交了申請文件和材料的參賽者進行評估。所有參賽者必須正確提交視頻話記錄及申請文件。

3.參賽者不限國籍,但必須出示由政府部門簽發之身份証明文件正本以確認其年齡 ,例如身份證或護照。如身份證明文件上所顯示之年齡與報名組別不符合,參賽者將即時被取 消資格。 

4.參加現場賽事的參賽者於比賽時必須攜帶一套演奏曲目之原裝樂譜供評委參考,演奏完畢 後即時歸還。

5.所有評委不能參與其學生之評審工作。 

6.現場比賽期間,評委有權於適當時候終止參賽者之演出。對於評委作出之決定及最終比賽成績,任何人不得異議。

7.主辦單位有權拒絕或終止不符合參賽資格或違規者參賽。

8. 每組現場比賽均設有人數限制,先到先得,額滿即止。如名額於截止日期前額滿,主辦單位 將有權提早終止接受報名,恕不另行通告。 9.如參賽者因自身原因,未能出席比賽,大會不會另行安排時間作賽,亦不設退款安排。報名 費不得轉讓他人或轉作另一項比賽之用。

10.入圍第二輪半決賽名單,將於截止日後七個工作日內公佈於fb 專頁( St.Petersburg International Music Competition )。

11. 若無註明,參賽者必須背譜演奏。

12.比賽按大會官網公佈之日程進行。 

13.參賽者在比賽期間不得接觸任何評審團成員。參賽者若違反規定,將會被取消比賽資格。 

14.因疫情原因,將視乎各分賽區比賽場地而決定是否讓觀眾進場觀賞現場比賽。

15.所有參賽者應穿著端莊服裝參加比賽及錄製。

16. 比賽過程中除大會特許外,任何人士不得攝影、錄音或錄影,一切錄像之版權歸本比賽主 辦單位所有。

17. 優勝者將有機會受到大會邀請,參加與比賽有關的演奏、音樂會等活動。

18. 主辦單位有權修改比賽規則、獎品內容及評委會成員,如有修改,恕不另行通告。

19.賽事規定以官網及FB page: St.Petersburg International Piano Competition 公佈為準。 

20.最終解釋權屬於賽事主辦方。

財政規定
1. 入圍聖彼得堡現場決賽的參賽者由正式邀請函註明之日到比賽結束期間並不獲酒店住宿安 排,如需延長行程,須自行安排。

2. 若參賽者獲比賽邀請並居住在簽訂了俄羅斯聯邦簽證制度的國家,應聯絡最接近的俄羅斯 領事館辦理俄羅斯簽證。比賽委員會將會提供所有必要的邀請,但並不負責任何相關費用。

3.若參賽者拒絕參賽,需自行承擔一切食宿費用。

4.比賽委員會並不會額外提供陪同未成年參賽者的人員的住宿費用。

獎品及獎狀
1. 聖彼得堡國際音樂比賽委員會將會在所有一等獎得主中,選出一名特別獎
2. 基於所得成績和獎項數量中,評審會保留以下權利:a) 不授予所有獎項 b)為參賽者分配獎 項(大獎和一等獎除外)
3. 未獲獎的決賽參賽者,陪審團將會決定頒發參賽證書
4. 陪審團的決定為最終判決,不可撤銷。
5. 如任何類別中的一等獎並沒被頒發,陪審團保留從入圍者中頒發獎項的權利。
6. 俄羅斯和外國任何國家的商家、公共或創意組織,在與組委會協調後,都可以設立特別和額 外的獎項。此類獎項的條款必須和組委會達成一致。

特別規定
1. 決賽參賽者將被要求在閉幕禮和音樂會上無償演出。
2. 比賽的所有回合都有可能會進行現場直播和錄製,以便將來廣播和出版使用。部份或全部 比賽內容將可透過互聯網觀看。
3. 所有比賽輪次的錄音、視頻以及音樂會播放權均屬於比賽理事會所有。這些材料的銷售和 方法權同樣屬於比賽理事會,無需向參賽者支付表演費。
4. 參賽者必須簽署同意書,確認其對理事會及時期授權代表使用上述音頻和視頻材料沒有任 何主張。理事會及其授權代表對參賽者使用獲得的材料不承擔任何經濟責任。 5.聖彼得堡決賽行程,主辦方將會為參加決賽選手及陪同人員旅行保險及意外保險。 6.參賽者在比賽期間不得有任何職業承諾。 7.參賽者簽署的申請表是表示參賽者完全接受並承諾履行文件中註明條件的證據。
8. 比賽以在官網發佈的訊息為準,若果俄文和英文版本的解釋有分歧,以英文版本為準。

申請要求 選手須留意每一輪報名受理及截止日期,參賽者需透過大賽網站的個人賬戶提交以下文件: *申請表(正確填寫並簽名)

*身分證明文件副本(出生證明或護照)

*詳細的比賽曲目(註明曲譜、相關部份、錄音預賽和比賽演奏的時長);不接受任何更改。

*比賽錄製的視頻必須在每一輪報名截止日前三個月完成,並需要嚴格按照視頻參賽要求執行 ,須按照每一輪賽事所要求的曲目,中間不可剪接、編輯。視頻必須以電子方式繳交。(參賽者 全權負責)視頻有一台固定攝影機在演奏一首音樂是不間斷拍攝,並以觀眾的角度展示參賽 者全身。

*銀行轉賬收據(帳號和SWIFT/BIC代碼) 約需更改申請,參賽者必須按日俄羅斯中央銀行的匯率支付HKD200或等值美元的註冊費,該 費用不設退還。申請費亦不包括銀行轉賬費。

除申請費外,參賽者還需支付銀行轉賬費。申請費的轉賬副本應除申請文件一起附上。若沒有 申請費,該申請將不會被考慮。申請費在理事會帳戶收到後視為已支付。
